We’ve started a charity!

Aug 6, 2018 | News

It’s been a while since you guys heard from us. That’s because we’ve been working on something very special and now is the time to unveil it.

Most of you will know Sustainable Homes Melbourne was built from the ground up in Brunswick, Victoria.
Beginning in February 2014 with the intention of building beautiful, sustainable homes that tread lightly on our planet.
But, we understood very early on that the company has a much deeper purpose than that.

We envision a company that is giving back to those in need and that is why we are proud to announce the launch of Build Cambodia with the mission to build homes for families living in poverty in rural Cambodia.

Our mission is to rally the Sustainable Homes and wider building community to raise funds to build homes for families living in desperate need.

A home in Cambodia is nothing like the architecturally designed homes we build in Melbourne. You might say they’re minimalist and certainly built to operate passively with the environment.

Each of these homes cost only $7,000 AUD but the impact these homes will have on the life of a family living in poverty is priceless.
These homes will provide a family with security and safety and a real sense of dignity.

We’ve seen an amazing response already with over $3,000 raised pre-launch.

Our first home will commence construction in the last week of November 2018 so there is plenty of time for the community to get behind it.

Build Cambodia will be running a Trivia night in Brunswick on Saturday 1st September at 7.30pm. All are welcome and you can find out more here.

For those that can’t make the night but would like to support Build Cambodia we greatly appreciate any donation you can make here.
