WHAT WE DO
Build with SHM
SHM not only design and build, we also work with people that have their own plans and are passionate about sustainability, motivated to create a home to be proud of and want to build a home to last for generations. And, of course your plans reflect that.
Bring us your plans
We welcome people from all walks of life coming to us with plans to transform their rundown old home into a healthy, comfortable, sustainable home we can all be proud of. The first step will be an initial meeting to assess your design and discuss timelines, budget and your motivation to renovate or extend your home.
Breakdown budget and assess timeline
We’ll now assess your plans and specifications closely to ensure your dreams for your new sustainable home are achievable. We’ll present you with recommendation on how you can achieve your dream sustainable home. Along with a holistic budget breakdown, timeline and our recommendation of items you might want to consider.
Refinement & Development of Scope
We get it, building a sustainable home is a big deal and it’s important to make sure things are done right the first time. That’s why refinement is so important. At this stage we refine your specifications and manage your budget to ensure when we start on site we are all clear on the process.
Starting on site
Now for the exciting part, getting started on site. You’ll get introduced to your Site manager and Building coordinator who will take care of your project from start to finish. You’ll share a close relationship with both of them throughout the build. You’ll meet on site with your Site manager every 2-3 weeks for updates on progress and clarify any responsibilities that either party needs to address.
Completion of your new sustainable home
The moment we’ve all been waiting for has arrived and you can now step foot in your new sustainable home. This is the moment you get to see the full transformation your home has gone through. The completion of transforming your rundown old home into a sustainable home is a moment to be proud.
